Rehabilitation
Wright Medical Center's Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing excellence in patient care and patient satisfaction through our highly trained Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists. We currently offer a continuum of Acute, SNF, and ICF levels of care to inpatients, outpatients, contract home based patients, and nursing home residents. Wright Medical Center maintains the largest Rehab facility in Wright County offering a spacious gym area with five private treatment booths.

Our department is fully staffed Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm to inpatients and outpatients at Wright Medical Center and to outpatients at Wright Medical Wellness Center in Eagle Grove.  WMC rehabilitation therapy department also provides services through Wright County Public Health, Rotary Ann Nursing Home facilities and The Meadows Independent and Assisted Living facilities in Clarion.  For more information please contact our Rehab Department at (515) 532-9265, Fax (515) 532-9244.

Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy (PT) is the treatment or prevention of functional deficits from an illness or injury.  The treatments may include gait, balance and transfer training, aquatic therapy, exercise programs, manual therapy, and possibly the use of physical modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound/ phonophoresis, iontophoresis or thermotherapies.  Physical therapy also offers specialty programs for treatment of fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, urinary incontinence, and vestibular (dizziness) issues. 

Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of people's lives.  Occupational therapy assists people in developing skills necessary for independent and satisfying lives.  OT treatments are designed to improve one's ability to perform daily activities, to complete home and job site evaluations with adaptation recommendations, performance and skills assessments and treatments, adaptive equipment recommendations and usage training, guidance to family members and caregivers, manual therapy and many other services.

Speech Therapy
Speech therapy provides skilled therapy services to adults and children to facilitate improved communication, swallowing and cognitive skills.  Speech therapists are trained to facilitate improved speech, language, voice and fluency to improve communication.  Speech therapists are also trained to evaluate and treat swallowing disorders.  Cognitive skills, such as memory, concentration and problem solving are also skills which speech apthologists evaluate and treat to maximize a person's ability to function safely.
