Deb Akers, CRT, RCP
She graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College in 1988 with an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy. She worked at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City for 9 years and next at Rotech Corporation as the Clinical Respiratory Director for the State of Iowa for 3 years. Deb has worked at WMC's Cardiopulmonary Department since 1999. Deb holds certificates in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. She lives in Hampton with her husband, Adam, and their two children. Deb's favorite part of her job is being part of a team caring for many different patients and helping them transition to home with the best knowledge of their disease so they can take ownership of their care.

Molly Schafer, CRT, RCP
Molly graduated from DMACC in 2007 from the Respiratory Therapy Program. She holds credentials in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation. Molly has worked at Wright Medical Center since August 2007. She has prior experience at WMC as a Respiratory Student from 2006-2007. She is married to Tanner Schaefer and they reside in Belmond. Molly’s favorite part of her job is educating her patients about their health and providing excellent care. |

Dawn Butler
She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1996 with a BA in Communications with emphasis in Electronic Media. Dawn has worked at Wright Medical Center since 2004 and is the Cardiopulmonary Department Office Manager. She is active in various committees such as the Bright Idea Committee, Pride Committee and the WMC Parking Committee. Dawn is married to Tom who works at Krysilis as the Vocational Coordinator. |

Monica Christensen
She received her degree in Respiratory Therapy from Midland Lutheran College in Omaha, Nebraska, and her Bachelor of Science Degree from Immanuel Medical Center. She brings 22 years of experience to Wright Medical Center. She has been the Cardiopulmonary Leader since 1999. She is credentialed in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She also is the Director of Cardiopulmonary for Belmond Medical Center. She is married to Darwin Christensen and they have 5 children, Leigh, Kasie, Tyler, Dana, and Cayden. Monica’s favorite part of her job is making sure everyone receives a Healing Hug. |

Beth Jackson, RN, CCM
She graduated from the Iowa Central Nursing program and took additional classes at Iowa State University. Previously, she worked at the WMC Family Practice Clinic for 6 years as an RN, at the Belmond Care Center as a Medicare nurse for 3 years and most recently at Cedar Valley Medical Monitoring as a manager for 5 years. Beth holds certificates in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Beth enjoys working and living in Clarion, her hometown, where she is married to Steve Jackson and has three children. Beth's favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and the fun they have doing cardiac rehab.

David Wheatcraft, RRT, RCP, RPSGT
He graduated from DMACC in 1986 with an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy and then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. Dave has previously worked in Des Moines as a Respiratory Therapist and in Mason City with American Home Patient. He is Board Certified in Polysomnography and holds certificates in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dave has been employeed with Wright Medical Center since 2005. Dave and his wife, Hope, reside in Clear Lake with their two children, Abbie and Amy. Dave's favorite part of his job is bringing laughter to his patients.

Marc Schlichting, RPSGT, NREMT-B
He attended North Iowa Area Community College for pre-med and EMT courses. Marc also took Polysomnography Training from the Midwest Sleep and Neurodiagnostics Institute and became a Board Certified Registered Polysomnographer Technician in December 2005. Marc has been performing sleep studies at Wright Medical Center since 2004 and is a volunteer on the Belmond Ambulance Crew. |
